Jealousy fueled domestic violence is one of the evils of a modern society. Promiscuity is a social norm and we accept the fact almost anyone can sleep with just about anyone if they wish to, certainly if they are single. This image (imagined or real) can carry to haunt us in a relationship. We are assaulted by sex from above and below (and, in some cases, the behind), the media is shoving tanned skin down our throats and silicone up to our ears, the world around us seems to be obsessed.
Excluding rants about the "youth today" we have become more prone to having sex with those whom we are not married or even in a relationship with, some even celebrated if we manage to collect an improbably high number of partners. Somehow living in this environment permeated by promiscuity and emotionless sexual gratification does not free us of the connected feelings that can hurt us, for example jealousy, infact it appears to have a negative impact.
After a few sixpacks I should probably beat her and lock her in a closet, just to be on the safe side.
